Sakarya University (Turkish: Sakarya Üniversitesi), often known as SAU, is a public research university in Serdivan, the capital of the Turkish province of Sakarya.
With about 85,000 students, it is considered one of Turkey's major universities[8]. Sakarya University has an active research program and provides doctorate degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Humanities, as well as professional degrees in business, medicine, law, nursing, social work, and dentistry. It is home to five institutes: Educational Sciences, Natural Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, and the Middle East Institute.
Sakarya University is Turkey's first and only state institution to be awarded the ISO-2002 Quality Certificate as well as the "EFQM Excellent Quality Certificate of Competence Level."
