Karadeniz Technical University, also known as KTÜ, is a public research university located in Trabzon in the Black Sea Region of Turkey. In Turkish, the university is referred to as Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi. It is the fourth oldest university in Turkey, having been established in 1955 when it was. The Law No. 2547 on Higher Education in Turkey applies to Karadeniz Technical University as it does to all other state-run educational establishments in Turkey. The majority of its funding comes from the state, which is provided by the Turkish Parliament. [2]
