Study Abroad Scholarships in Canada For African Students

A Canadian degree is widely recognized as equal to one from the United States, Australia, or the United Kingdom, and Canadian universities consistently do well in international rankings. Some scholarship programs currently available for International students as well as Nigerian students are as follows:

1. University of Toronto Scholarships in Canada 2021

The Applications for the University of Toronto Scholarships in Canada is now open. The University of Toronto Ranked 1st in Canada and 18th in the  World Universities Rankings 2021 Results Announced. The University has a comprehensive scholarship program that recognizes outstanding achievement at different levels of study. The University, its colleges, faculties, and divisions award approximately 5,000 admission scholarships that total nearly $23 million and nearly 5,800 in-course awards each year.

Application deadline: 15th January 2021

Eligibility: International students

Value: partially funded

Type: Undergraduate, Graduate.

2.   International Bursaries At Algoma University

Algoma University is currently awarding the International Bursaries to individuals who want to start an undergraduate degree program at the Institution. A $2,000 bursary will be provided to all existing and incoming International Degree Students registering for the 2020 Spring and Fall semesters while A $3,000 bursary will be provided to all existing and incoming Graduate Certificate program students for the 2020 Spring and 2020 Fall semesters.

Application Deadline: Open

Eligibility: International students

Value: $2,000 - $3,000

3.   Principal’s Scholarships At Queen’s University

Queen’s University offers a variety of degree programs that help students gain great knowledge and nimble skills required in today’s competitive world. No application is required for these awards. Recipients of these scholarships will be selected automatically based on academic achievement alone. By applying for admission to Queen's, all eligible applicants are automatically considered for a grades-based admission scholarship

Eligibility: International students

Value: $4,000

Type: Bachelor degree

4.   Engineering International Awards At McGill University

The McGill Engineering Award (MEUSMA) provides multi-year funding to students who wish to enter directly into a degree program within the Faculty. The Faculty of Engineering offers a MEITA award of $8,000 towards the international Ph.D. supplement fee, for a total funding package of at least $27,000. Applicants must have a master’s degree from a recognized university. Strong interest in Engineering field participation, applicants must also have achieved a standardized test score of GMAT and GRE and also have a previous degree certificate.
