The USA is well-known for its academic and social attraction from different countries all over the world. There are several scholarship opportunities available to Africans who would love to study in the USA. Here are some of the latest scholarships;

1.     International Student Tuition Grants at Oklahoma City Community College

Oklahoma City Community College is awarding International Student Tuition Grants to students who want to undergo a degree program at the Institution. The Oklahoma City Community College will cover an award amount of $1,500 to successful candidates. This tuition waiver is limited and will be awarded on a competitive basis.

Application Deadline: February 1st

Eligible Countries: International

Value: Up to a $1,500

Type: Undergraduate


·         Applicants must have a 2.0 or higher GPA

·         Applicants need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English.

·         Applicants should check all the entry requirements for the associate degree

2.   King Scholars Program for Students from Developing Countries

The King Scholar Leadership Program seeks low-income students with high potential from developing nations who are interested in alleviating poverty in their home countries.  The Dartmouth Admissions Office selects students who embody the vision of the program, including a commitment to alleviating poverty, a record of academic excellence, and a passion for global issues.

Application Deadline: 2nd January 2021 (Regular Decision)

Eligible Countries: Developing Countries

Value: 4-year scholarships, extensive mentoring and leadership training.

Type: Undergraduate


·         Applicants must be International students

·         Applicants must be proficient in the English language

·         Applicants must have good academic records

3.     Global Leadership Full-Tuition Scholarships at Coe College

Coe College provides one full-tuition scholarship each year to a non-U.S. citizen attending high school outside of the U.S. Coe College values a diverse international population and offers financial assistance to qualified students in the form of renewable scholarships, grants, and on-campus work-study.

Application Deadline: 1st February 2021

Eligible Countries: International

Value and Duration of Award: tuition and is renewable for three additional years at that amount.

Type: Undergraduate


·         Applicants must be a non-citizen or non-permanent resident of the United States and attend a foreign high school.

·         Applicants must intend to enroll as full-time, undergraduate degree-seeking students, live in on-campus residential housing, and meet all the requirements for admission to Coe College.

4.     International Merit Awards at New Jersey City University

New Jersey City University is offering qualified undergraduate and graduate International Students a merit scholarship of up to $1,000 per semester/ $2,000 per year.  NJCU provides top-quality education to over 8,500 students who reflect the dynamism of the University’s metropolitan Jersey City location. It has challenging & renowned degree programs for the students.

Application Deadline: January 21, 2021

Eligible Countries: International

Value: up to $1,000 per semester/ $2,000 per year

Type: Undergraduate and Graduate


·         Applicants must be enrolled full time (at least 12 credits- undergraduate or nine credits- graduate).

·         Applicants must be admitted and matriculated at NJCU.

·         Applicants must have, or apply for, an F1 visa.

·         Applicants must enter with and maintain a minimum 3.2 GPA.

·         Applicants are required to present proof of English Language Proficiency at a satisfactor
